I often read of how people pick things up from Goodwill and turn it into something fabulous. I don't know how many times I've gone to Goodwill looking for something to make my own, but I often only see it for what it is. I can't see how to turn it into something awesome.
BUT I was able to turn a drabby cork board I picked up from GW into a cool looking board for the boys room. This is one of my proudest achievements. A little paint, fabric, staples, buttons, ribbon, a hot glue gun, and presto.
Recently I found a really cool idea for some Christmas gifts. Check it out here. I've already bought the washers, stamping set, and makers. I just haven't attempted to try it yet. I might just have to give it a whirl today. I suppose that will be for a later post.
Some of my favorite craft blogs:
http://www.tipjunkie.com/ -this is a great one, it often accumulates a bunch of crafts from different blogs
Awesome! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you have checked out this blog before, but my friend from high school has some really awesome crafts sometimes! Some of it is sewing, but not all of it: http://noodleheads.blogspot.com/
I've never came across that one. I'm actually in the process of learning to sew. I'll have to add it to my list. Thanks!
